AI Video Generation API: 7 Models, $0.15 to $3.22 a Clip
AIVeed's AI video generation API runs 7 video models on one key, from $0.15 to $3.22 a clip on the $99 pack. Credit table for Veo 3, Kling, Grok and Seedance.
The AIVeed AI video generation API runs seven video models from Google, xAI, Kling and ByteDance on one API key, and a clip costs $0.15 to $3.22 on the $99 / 20,000-credit Business pack (AIVeed public pricing endpoint, checked September 28, 2026).
Every figure below is read from AIVeed's public pricing endpoint and the AIVeed API documentation, both checked on September 28, 2026. With AIVeed you send one request format to Veo 3, Kling 3.0, Grok Imagine and three Seedance models, pay from one credit balance, and get a hosted video URL back — no separate provider accounts, keys or invoices. The same credits work in the AIVeed web app.
How much does an AI video generation API cost per video?
An AI video generation API call on AIVeed costs between 30 and 650 credits per clip, which is $0.15 to $3.22 on the $99 / 20,000-credit Business pack or $0.25 to $5.42 on the $5 / 600-credit Pilot pack (AIVeed public pricing endpoint, checked September 28, 2026). The model, duration and resolution you send decide the credit charge; the pack you bought the credits with decides the dollar figure. The table below lists the entry and top setting of every AIVeed API video model.
| AIVeed API model · setting | Credits | USD on $99 / 20,000-credit Business pack | USD on $5 / 600-credit Pilot pack |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seedance V1 Pro · 480p · 5s | 30 | $0.15 | $0.25 |
| Seedance V1 Pro · 720p · 10s | 100 | $0.50 | $0.83 |
| Seedance 1.5 Pro · 480p · 4s | 30 | $0.15 | $0.25 |
| Seedance 1.5 Pro · 720p · 12s | 150 | $0.74 | $1.25 |
| Grok Imagine Video · 480p · 6s | 60 | $0.30 | $0.50 |
| Grok Imagine Video · 720p · 15s | 150 | $0.74 | $1.25 |
| Veo3 Fast · ~8s | 120 | $0.59 | $1.00 |
| Veo3 Quality · ~8s | 320 | $1.58 | $2.67 |
| Seedance 2.0 Fast · 480p · 6s | 150 | $0.74 | $1.25 |
| Seedance 2.0 Fast · 720p · 15s | 650 | $3.22 | $5.42 |
| Kling 3.0 · Standard · 6s | 225 | $1.11 | $1.88 |
| Kling 3.0 · Pro · 15s | 600 | $2.97 | $5.00 |
Seedance 2.0 Fast adds 50 credits at 480p or 100 credits at 720p when the request includes reference videos, so the 720p, 15-second Seedance 2.0 Fast clip with a reference video is 750 credits, or $3.71 on the $99 / 20,000-credit Business pack (AIVeed public pricing endpoint, checked September 28, 2026). Every other row above is the complete charge for that setting.
What is the cheapest AI video generator API per second?
On the AIVeed API, Seedance V1 Pro at 480p and 10 seconds is the lowest cost per second: 50 credits, or $0.025 per second on the $99 / 20,000-credit Business pack (AIVeed public pricing endpoint, checked September 28, 2026). Seedance 1.5 Pro at 480p and 12 seconds follows at 80 credits, $0.033 per second on the same Business pack, and Grok Imagine Video at 480p and 15 seconds costs 120 credits, $0.040 per second on the Business pack (AIVeed public pricing endpoint, checked September 28, 2026). On all three models the longest setting is the cheapest per second, so a pipeline that needs 10–15 seconds of footage gets the best rate by asking for one long clip rather than two short ones.
| AIVeed API model · setting | Credits | USD per second, Business pack |
|---|---|---|
| Seedance V1 Pro · 480p · 10s | 50 | $0.025 |
| Seedance 1.5 Pro · 480p · 12s | 80 | $0.033 |

| Veo3 Quality · ~8s | 320 | about $0.198 |
Which API is best for video generation?
The best API for video generation depends on the clip, which is why the AIVeed API puts seven models behind one endpoint instead of one. For high-volume social clips, Seedance V1 Pro and Seedance 1.5 Pro on AIVeed start at 30 credits, $0.15 on the $99 / 20,000-credit Business pack (AIVeed public pricing endpoint, checked September 28, 2026). For dialogue with native audio, Veo3 Fast on AIVeed returns an ~8-second clip with sound for 120 credits, $0.59 on the Business pack, and a Veo3 clip can be extended by about 7 seconds for another 120 credits (AIVeed API documentation, checked September 28, 2026). If your own Google project returns 429 for Veo 3.1, our Veo 3.1 429 RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED guide shows how to send the same job to AIVeed. For multi-shot scenes, Kling 3.0 on AIVeed accepts multi-shot prompts and sound, and for reference-driven work Seedance 2.0 Fast on AIVeed accepts up to 9 reference images, 3 reference videos and 1 reference audio file (AIVeed API documentation, checked September 28, 2026). Our Seedance 2.0 API guide walks through a complete Seedance 2.0 request, step by step. Switching between them is a change to one field, model, in the same request.
Can I make an AI video generator?
Yes — you can build your own AI video generator on top of the AIVeed API without training a model. An app sends a prompt, and optionally a first-frame image, to POST /v1/generate/video; AIVeed charges the credits up front, and the app then polls the job, streams progress over server-sent events, or receives a signed webhook when the video is ready, at which point the completed job carries a hosted video URL (AIVeed API documentation, checked September 28, 2026). A single AIVeed key covers text-to-video and image-to-video on all seven video models, plus four image models and voiceover and music generation for the rest of the pipeline (AIVeed API documentation, checked September 28, 2026). Up to 10 jobs can be submitted in one batch call on paid keys (AIVeed API documentation, checked September 28, 2026).
How do I get an AI video generator API key?
An AIVeed AI video generator API key is created on the AIVeed developer dashboard by any account with a verified email, and each account can hold up to 5 active keys, with optional expiry at 30 days, 90 days or 1 year (AIVeed API documentation and developer dashboard, checked September 28, 2026). New AIVeed accounts start with credits, so the first test call is covered, and API keys draw on the same credit balance as the AIVeed web app (AIVeed API documentation, checked September 28, 2026). Credits are bought on AIVeed pricing in four USD packs: $5 for 600, $19 for 3,000, $49 for 9,000 and $99 for 20,000 (AIVeed public pricing endpoint, checked September 28, 2026).
What happens to credits when an AI video API call fails?
When an AIVeed API video job fails at the provider, the credits charged for it are refunded automatically, and a request turned away for being over the concurrency limit is not charged at all (AIVeed API documentation, checked September 28, 2026). The documentation states it plainly: "Failed/refunded jobs never keep your credits." For a production pipeline this means the credit balance reflects only videos that were delivered — see pay-per-use vs subscriptions for how that fits an irregular publishing schedule.
How many requests can the AIVeed video API handle?
An AIVeed API key runs 10 requests a minute with 3 concurrent jobs on the free tier, and 30 requests a minute with 10 concurrent jobs on the pro tier, which every key moves to automatically after the account's first completed purchase (AIVeed API documentation, checked September 28, 2026). An enterprise tier runs 100 requests a minute with 50 concurrent jobs, and every response carries the key's remaining allowance in its headers (AIVeed API documentation, checked September 28, 2026).
What should Sora 2 API users switch to?
OpenAI removed the Sora 2 models and the Videos API from its platform on September 24, 2026; its deprecations page says: "On March 24th, 2026, we notified developers using the Videos API and Sora 2 video generation model aliases and snapshots of their deprecation and removal from the API on September 24, 2026" (OpenAI API deprecations page, checked September 28, 2026). OpenAI lists no replacement model for it. A team moving a Sora 2 integration can point the same job-based flow — submit, poll or webhook, download — at the AIVeed API, where Veo3 Fast returns an ~8-second clip with audio for 120 credits, $0.59 on the $99 / 20,000-credit Business pack (AIVeed public pricing endpoint, checked September 28, 2026). Our Sora shutdown guide covers the move for web-app users, and the Seedance 2.0 price breakdown lists the higher-resolution Seedance settings available in the AIVeed web app.
Methodology and verification
Verified on September 28, 2026. Credit charges for every model and setting were read from AIVeed's public, unauthenticated pricing endpoint, and the USD packs from the purchase section of the same endpoint, which matches AIVeed pricing. Model options, limits, refunds and rate limits come from the AIVeed API documentation.
The calculation is clip credits × pack price ÷ pack credits. On the Business pack, $99 ÷ 20,000 = $0.00495 per credit, so the 650-credit Seedance 2.0 Fast clip is $3.2175, shown as $3.22; on the Pilot pack, $5 ÷ 600 = $0.00833 per credit, so the same clip is $5.4167, shown as $5.42. Per-second figures divide the Business-pack dollar amount by the requested duration and are rounded to a tenth of a cent; Veo3 clips run about 8 seconds, so their per-second figures are approximate. Dollar amounts allocate part of a purchased credit pack to a clip; they are not a separate checkout price. Gemini Omni is listed as coming soon on the API and is not included.
